Kanye West performed this spoken word-ish concert, aka two verses from the song Chain Heavy from his upcoming album that is untitled, for a room full of Facebook employees in San Fran. Never knew he was capable of that. Hit the jump to watch two more videos of Yeezy droppin bombs for the good people of Facebeezy. “I’m Socrates, but my skin more choclatey” (more…)

Coca comes correct with that potent product courtesy of DJ Premier. I’m not really a fan of Fat Joe, especially as of recent. For some reason this song just feels like a banger, probably more to do with Primo than Joey Crack. Side note, this was recorded on the night Guru died. Give it a listen, give it a download. Enjoy your damn Tuesday. Vaya!

T.I. and Bobby Ray cover the upcoming issue of Complex. For those who missed it, newly minted jailbird LiLo is on the back. She blew off the interview, so all they got from her were photos. Look out for the next issue on newsstands soon, and a quick aside: My first magazine feature on Charlie Day (Charlie from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) will be in this issue, which is the real reason you should buy it.

OK, so FreshyK dropped this heat rock on y’all a couple weeks ago. But here’s the CD quality version. This shit’s on some ’90s pop music, ear candy. Needless to say, I’ll be adding it to my guilty pleasures playlist. Oh well, nothing like some careless summer jams to listen to when you get your knob slobbed while riding dirty in the drop-top. Whaaaat?

Plumes of crude oil continue erupting into the ocean at a rate of one Exxon Valdez accident every four days. And as BP gears up to perform their never-tried-before “top kill” method, someone has taken it upon themselves to make light of the incident. Needless to say, it’s hilarious. The fake twitter account, BPGlobalPR, was created today and already has nearly 50,000 followers. I say, #fucktheoilcompanies

Today is a blessed day and it’s not just because I’m leaving in an hour to go on a 13-stop bar crawl. Iron Man 2 hits theaters today starring none other than, you guessed it, Scarlett Johansson. We’ve always been big fans of Scar-Jo, even though she stars in a lot of sappy romantic comedies. Just flip this bitch over to see a collection of some of her hottest pics. Happy Friday everyone!!! It’s not often we find mixtapes that aren’t just filled with throwaway songs and recycled beats. So it’s like a breath of fresh air to get Pacific Division’s third mixtape, Don’t Mention It. The Cali trio recently sat down with Complex to discuss the mixtape and their style. The mixtape is definitely worth downloading in our opinion, so read more to hear some key tracks and download Pac Div’s Dont Mention It….

We’ve been bumping the leaks off The Adventures Of Bobby Ray, and this one looks to be another banger. According to sources other blogs, this track won’t be on Bobby Ray’s album due to copyright problems with those greedy bastards, Coldplay. Either way, get it while it’s hot people!

Okay! So we finally get a visual for the single from the British group’s last self-titled album, The xx. The video itself is pretty much what I expected from the group: A painfully repetitive scene of a man and a woman doing the same dance move over and over and over (it’s actually slightly different each time). As for the group, they’re sitting on a couch dressed in all-black-everything trying painfully hard to look emo. They kinda remind me of Cartman’s Christian rock group, Faith Plus One, trying a little bit too hard to look deep and anguished. Oh well, leave your opinion in the comments section if you feel so obliged.

Not that I have a boat, but I’ve always wondered what’s the best way to floss on the high seas. Yachts are played out cause any dickwad with a seven-figure bank account can buy himself a yacht. But not everyone can by themselves this conceptual luxury yacht modeled after a Lamborghini by Italian designer Mauro Lecchi. The Lamborghini yacht draws direct inspiration from the lines of the new Reventon, mimicking the intakes to create the signature Lambo look. To keep the boat light and fast, it’s made of carbon-fiber and Kevlar composites. For more specs and pictures read more!

Movies about potheads aren’t very rare. However, GOOD movies about potheads are. After making it through the Sundance Film Festival with raving reviews, High School is wafting to theaters sometime this fall. The movie is about about a high school valedictorian who must get his entire school stoned on a day the school is giving a random drug test. Looks to me like an odd movie, but critics say it’s hilarious.

When RealJawn took me to see Arcade Fire in Minneapolis back in 2008, it seemed like the group was still unknown. Or at least they were unknown to me. Needless to say, the show was one of the most awe-inspiring, incredible performances of live music I’ve ever been lucky enough to witness. Over the next two years, Arcade Fire would increasingly become a twenty-something’s household name. The Canadian indie rockers’ music continue to be incorporated in ads, movie trailers and collaborations with mainstream artists. The latest of which is an upcoming short film made by Spike Jonze and, based on the last Jonze short we saw, it should be interesting. Read more to take a look back at the growth of Arcade Fire’s US resumé mainly in thanks to their song “Wake Up“… (more…)

Had a great time in Miami for Spring Break and one of the absolute highlights was the Paul McCartney concert my boy Ari took me to on Saturday. If there’s anything I learned from going to ULTRA and then this concert, it’s that there’s a big difference between good music and timeless music. Any talented artist can make great music, but it takes a true genius to make timeless music. And Paul McCartney is definitely a genius and an incredible performer. He did all the classics over a three-hour set, which included two encores, switched his guitar for almost every song, joked with the crowd and told stories about John Lennon and George Harrison. If you’re a fan of The Beatles, or just a fan of timeless music, read more to see some videos I took of a few of his live songs, such as Let It Be, Something and Give Peace A Chance(more…)

Sitting Front Row To Watch Rafael Nadal Pick His Wedgie After Every Point 03/28/2010

So the good times keep on rollin’ down in the 305. Today, my good friend Evan was able to hook-up some very, very good tickets to the Sony Ericsson Tennis Tournament. In typical fashion, we were late, so only stayed for a couple matches. First up was the crowd’s favorite, Rafael Nadal, up against David Nalbandian of Argentina. It was certainly far from an easy win for Nadal, although the scorecard (6-7, 6-2, 6-2) would seem to suggest otherwise. If you think Nadal looks athletic on TV, it was pretty incredible watching this guy run around the court. No matter what Nalbandian sent his way, Nadal seemed ready to return it. Perhaps even more interesting, was the way Nadal seemed to pick his ass crack after every point, and if you look at the picture above closely enough, you can see him doing it there. But seriously, he’s a great competitor and deserves the love he gets from his fans, just check out the flip videos and pics after the jump to see why… (more…)

A Trip To Miami’s ULTRA Music Festival 2010 03/28/2010

So this week we’re all taking a much-deserved spring break. I went down to Miami for a week of relaxation, and of course: Ultra Music Festival. This is by far the most intense, incredible spectacle I’ve ever encountered. While it was a two-day festival, I only attended Saturday where there was a sold out crowd of easily over 100,000 people. Most of whom were in costume and by my educated guess, on copious amounts of drugs. If I learned one thing from the festival it’s this: never get between a Techno Viking and his Eastern European rave whore. As I was making my way through the crowd last night, I took a step in front of this Techno Viking and got a sudden but firm German shove aside. But anyway, we saw some seriously good music, among which: Benny Benassi, Swedish House Mafia, ATB and more. Hit the jump for a 4-minute compilation video and some pictures of the freak shows and spectacles we saw along the way…

So the leaks off Drizzy’s freshman LP, Thank Me Later, keep on coming. This one is called “Shut It Down,” and while Drake really slows it down on some R&B shit, I’m definitely feeling this joint. The album isn’t due out until May but I’d expect a couple more songs to hit the blogs before then. At this rate we can just go ahead and thank him now.
