HBO’s drama series, The Wire is arguably one of the greatest dramatic television shows ever. Thankfully, creator David Simon and company are back at it with their newest drama show titled Treme. Treme explores the lives of several struggling musicians and other New Orleans locals in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The show is titled Treme because it tries to capture and envision the working class neighborhood in the Mid-City district area of New Orleans in which citizens such as musicians, chefs and other residents try to rebuild their lives. The show will be an hour long each week beginning with an 80-minute pilot airing Sunday, April 11, 2010. The cast will star Steve Zahn, Oscar-nominated actress Melissa Leo, John Goodman and Wendell Pierce AKA “Bunk,” the hilarious and cynical detective from The Wire.
