The New York Jets fell to the Indianapolis Colts 30-17 today in the AFC Championship game ending the Jets’ epic playoff run.  Click more for a brief recap of the game.

The Colts featured their two young wide receivers, Pierre Garçon and Austin Collie, and Peyton Manning was simply absurd throwing for 337 yards and 3 touchdowns.  The Jets were in it, leading 17-6 at one point, but the Colts scored 24 unanswered points to close the game out.  Mark Sanchez played arguably the best game of his young career throwing for 257 and 2 scores.  While it’s disappointing the Jets fell one game short of reaching the Superbowl, their playoff run showed promise for the future.  Shon Greene came on strong at the end of the season taking over as the premiere back, and the offensive line was solid all year enabling the Jets to command the number one running game in the NFL.  Rex Ryan’s defense was also outstanding finishing number one in most categories and Darrelle Revis emerged as the number one cover corner in all of football.
